How can Jesus say His burden is light?
Following Him can cost you. It is not the crushing weight of condemnation and religious performance.
He invites the weary to Himself. A faith built only on guilt and exhaustion does not match His invitation.
A light burden is not an effortless life. He also spoke of a cross.
The difference is the weight of love and purpose versus the weight of earning and shame.
