What does it mean to be saved?
Salvation is bigger than a ticket to heaven. Jesus saves us from death and into life with God — now and forever.
Forgiveness and eternal life are real. They are not the whole story. The same family of words for save also means rescue, healing, and being made whole.
Jesus reconciles us to God so God’s life can begin transforming this life. Saved from sin, death, condemnation, fear, and slavery. Saved into the Spirit, freedom, love, purpose, community, and hope.
A better question than only ‘Am I saved?’ is: What is Jesus saving me from today, and what kind of life is He leading me into?
